However, the total duration of the examination also includes time for patient preparation, such as explaining the procedure, possibly giving a contrast medium, as well as the time needed to place the patient in the appropriate position.

Thanks to the speed of MDCT technology, patients usually do not have to wait long for the results, and the scan can be done quickly, which makes this procedure efficient in clinical practice.
