Scales used to supplement the examination of patients with ALS help assess disease progression and functional status of patients. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Assessment Questionnaire (ALS-AQ): The patient fills out a questionnaire that assesses the quality of life, emotional and social aspects of the disease.
