Vasculitis – Diagnosis and Therapeutic Management: Eliksir Center ✓

A specialist rheumatology examination is intended for patients with suspected **vasculitis** – a group of autoimmune diseases that cause inflammation of blood vessels.

The inflammation can affect small, medium, or large blood vessels and may lead to damage in various organs (skin, kidneys, lungs, nervous system).

The examination is indicated for individuals with symptoms such as:

• unexplained persistent fever
• weight loss
• muscle and joint pain
• rash or subcutaneous changes
• weakness or neurological symptoms
• abnormal laboratory results (elevated CRP, ANCA positivity)

The goal of the examination is early diagnosis and assessment of organ involvement, as timely treatment significantly improves prognosis.

The examination begins with a detailed medical history focusing on systemic symptoms, sudden onset of complaints, and potential involvement of specific organs.

A complete clinical examination is performed with special attention to:

• skin changes
• neurological status
• respiratory system
• cardiovascular status
• signs of peripheral organ damage

Laboratory parameters are analyzed (CRP, ESR, ANCA, complete blood count, kidney function, urinalysis), and additional diagnostic procedures or consultations with other specialists are recommended if needed.

Based on the findings, a treatment plan is defined, which may include corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, or biologic therapy.

Approximately 60 minutes on average, given the complexity of the clinical presentation and the need for a detailed assessment of systemic involvement.
