Dermatomyositis, Polymyositis – Inflammatory Muscle Diseases: Eliksir Center ✓

A specialist examination is intended for patients with suspected **inflammatory muscle diseases** that lead to progressive weakness and elevated muscle enzymes.

Symptoms include:

• weakness of the thigh and upper arm muscles
• difficulty rising from a squat
• muscle pain
• characteristic skin changes (in dermatomyositis)

The goal of the examination is early diagnosis and initiation of therapy to prevent permanent damage.

The examination includes a detailed medical history focusing on the progression of weakness, clinical testing of muscle strength, and analysis of laboratory findings (CK, muscle enzymes, immunological panel).

If needed, additional diagnostic tests and consultation with a neurologist may be recommended.

Based on the assessment, an individualized treatment plan is defined.

Approximately 60 minutes on average, with the consultation possibly extended up to 75 minutes for complex cases or when a detailed review of existing medical documentation is required.
