A specialist rheumatology examination is intended for patients with suspected autoimmune disease or those presenting with nonspecific symptoms such as chronic fatigue, persistent joint and muscle pain, rash, dryness of the eyes and mouth, unexplained fevers, hair loss, or positive immunological test results.

Autoimmune diseases occur when the immune system reacts against the body’s own tissues and can affect various organs and systems.

The goal of the examination is to perform a precise differential diagnosis, assess disease activity, and develop an individualized treatment plan.

The examination includes a detailed medical history focusing on the duration and characteristics of symptoms, family predisposition to autoimmune diseases, and previous treatments.

A comprehensive clinical examination is conducted, which includes:

• assessment of peripheral and axial joints,
• evaluation of muscle strength,
• examination of the skin and mucous membranes,
• assessment of signs of Raynaud’s phenomenon,
• evaluation of potential systemic manifestations.

The physician reviews existing laboratory results (RF, anti-CCP, ANA, ENA, ANCA, HLA-B27, CRP, ESR, etc.) and, if necessary, recommends additional diagnostics or consultations with other specialists.

Based on the collected data, it is determined whether there is an active autoimmune disease, whether therapy should be initiated, or if monitoring is indicated.
